Samsung is gradually expanding the November 2023 patch to Galaxy devices. If we talk particularly about the US, it has introduced the update to foldable devices including the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Now it is expanding the update to more carriers.
Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 are getting a new security patch on the Verizon network, which is coming with the firmware version number F936USQS3DWJ4 and F721USQS3DWJ4 respectively. It is currently available for the locked variants, and it is expected that it could be available for the unlocked variants in the coming days.
The November 2023 update does not belong to the One UI, so it will not offer any new features for your devices, but being a security patch update, it will bring several new enhancements for introducing the overall improvements for strengthening the security of the devices.
Moreover, the update may also include some bug fixes that will boost the overall performance and stability of the device. So if you have faced any issues, you should update your device to the latest update; it may resolve them and make the device usable.
Samsung has introduced the fourth generation of foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, back in 2022. These devices come with Android 12 preinstalled, as Samsung has made changes to the policy of updating before the launch of the devices, so they are enjoying the four Android updates and five years of a security update. Only one major update has been received on these devices in the form of One UI 5 based on Android 13, and in the next few weeks, these devices will get the new Android 14 update.
