The Galaxy S20 devices have started getting new security updates in the form of a November 2023 patch. With the latest update, the company will bring several new improvements to the internal functionality of the devices. The latest update is currently spotted in Europe for both 4G and 5G variants. It is worth noticing that the Galaxy S20 FE has already grabbed the update.
For identification of new updates, users who own the LTE variants of the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers G980FXXSIHWJD and G985FXXSIHWJD, respectively. Meanwhile, the 5G variants of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra are getting a new update with firmware version numbers G981BXXSIHWJD, G986BXXSIHWJD, and G988BXXSIHWJD, respectively.
According to the information, the latest update for the device will bring a bunch of new patches, which will improve the security of the devices internally. Going into details, the latest update patch will come with more than 60 patches that will fix the Android OS and Galaxy device’s vulnerability issues.
The November 2023 update for Galaxy S20 series devices is now live in Europe. If you are also using one of them, then you can easily install the update by following these steps: go to the software update option, which is available under system settings, then tap on the Download and Install option and wait until it finishes searching. After this, if it shows a new update available, tap on the update button.
