Samsung updated several Galaxy devices to the December 2023 Security Patch in Australia

Since early this month, Samsung has started rolling out the December 2023 security patch to several Galaxy devices, but as the company has a vast reach of devices,  it is not able to push the update at the same time but gradually expand it to more regions. For example, the company is now focusing on Australia-based devices.

According to the information, Samsung has started rolling out the December 2023 update to several Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, and Galaxy XCover 5.

For identification, users can check the firmware version of all the devices, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, which are getting new updates with version numbers F946BXXS1BWKI and F731BXXS1BWKI, respectively. The Galaxy Note 20 series devices are getting a new update with the version number N98*BXXS9HWL1. The Galaxy S20 series devices are getting an update with the version number G98*BXXSIHWKD.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy XCover5 are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers F916BXXS5KWK1 and G525FXXSACWK2, respectively. The latest update doesn’t include any new features for the devices, but it will provide new security enhancements for the devices.

Going to the details, the December 2023 update will provide 60+ bug fixes that enhance the overall bug fixes of the devices. More specifically, there are 50 fixes included by Google that fix the issues found in the previous software of Android devices. Along with this, there are 16 more fixes added by Samsung that will enhance the internal functions of Galaxy devices.

If you are also using any of the devices mentioned above in Australia, now you can easily update them by following some simple steps: First, open the system settings, then tap on the software update menu and touch the download and install option. Wait for some time to finish the searching; if it shows a new update available, then tap on the download button.
