Carrier-locked Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 getting January 2024 security patch in the US

After introducing the January 2024 fifth-generation and fourth-generation foldable in the US, Samsung has released the same update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 devices. The update is spotted on the device, which is locked to some carriers, and soon it will also be available for the unlocked variants as well.

As of writing, the locked variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are spotted on T-Mobile and MetroPCS, carrying the firmware version numbers F926USQS4HWL7 and F711USQS5HWL7 respectively. According to the official documentation, the January 2024 software includes a total of 80 fixes. Google has introduced 75 fixes, which are added by Google and address the issues found in the Android OS, while Samsung has included 5 more fixes that exclusively fix the bugs found in the Galaxy devices.
