Samsung’s LPDDR5X DRAM Could Integrated Into Intel’s Upcoming Processors

A new surprise for Samsung Galaxy enthusiasts: the LPDDR5x DRAM chips of Samsung may be integrated into the forthcoming generation of processors from Intel.
Recent reports are unveiling the new integration between Samsung and Intel, and fortunately, if this comes true, then this will be a great enhancement for Samsung. Regarding this news, it’s come to be known that LPDDR5X DRAM chips are on the way to integrate into the upcoming ‘Lunar Lake MX’ processors of Intel.
It is expected that Intel will introduce millions of Lunar Lake processors in the upcoming years, and undoubtedly, it will be a great advantage for the Korean tech giants. At the moment, it is not clear whether Samsung will be the sole supplier of LPDDR5X DRAM chips to Intel.
Once this new integration possibility turns true, then the next generation laptop processor from Intel will feature onboard memory, just like the M series processors of fruit company ‘Apple’ that feature onboard memory.
Apart from this, probably the 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5X 8533MHz memory of Samsung may be used in Lunar Lake chips; it is also certified to be used with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon smartphone platforms.
Using onboard memory will result in increased performance, reduced space required by chips within a laptop, as well as improved battery life. But all of these indicate that memory can’t be upgraded later, just like Apple’s MacBook and Mac series.
Intel has introduced a competitor for Apple in terms of performance by announcing a brand-new laptop processor. But still, Intel needs to deliver more efficiency from its chips to be in the same league as Apple’s or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite chips.
Based on the above facts, it is expected that the forthcoming Galaxy Book 5 will be powered by Intel’s Lunar Lake chips, along with improved battery life.
