The Galaxy S24 Ultra features more than the things mentioned in the official forum. It has an extra microphone, which is housed on the right side of the ultra-wide camera lens. However, this is not news since the brand has attached the same microphone to all the other Ultra variants of the Galaxy S series.

The main aim of attaching these hidden and extra microphones from the brand is to improve the audio zoom quality while recording a video so that the users don’t have to compromise on the audio quality of the video.
This is speculated by the post on X, formerly Twitter, shared by @Sondesix, which elaborates on this extra microphone.
This time, the brand has attached this extra microphone in the Galaxy S24 series to the right side of the ultra-wide camera. Whereas on the previous Galaxy devices, this microphone was housed at the bottom of the ultra-wide sensor. Despite being a Galaxy enthusiast, most of the users don’t even know about this microphone. This is true, since a post on X shared by @WaitZaR999 has been spotted in which the user has mentioned that he didn’t even know about this microphone and also mentioned that “It’s very hard to notice it unless you really look for it.”
The controversy didn’t end here yet. In a recent Samsung Community post, a Galaxy S24 Ultra user asked, “Has anyone else noticed the small cutout notch on the rear camera ring on the S24 Ultra? I’ve searched online, and some have said it’s a microphone for the Zoom mic. But according to Samsung, the S24 Ultra only has two mics: one at the bottom and one at the top.”
Moving on to the next, some X users also asked a question about whether using a case with their Galaxy S24 phone affects the functionality of this tiny microphone, and the answer appears in a single word: ‘No’.
Basically, there is no rocket science in these tiny camera-specific microphones on Samsung devices. Whereas on the best iPhones, the fruit company also attached these audio zoom microphones, but they easily appear as small, cylindrical dots in the glass housing that surrounds the rear cameras. But on Samsung devices, these microphones are pretty hard to find.
