Galaxy S24 Ultra ProVisual Bridge The Gap & Result in Incredible Zoom Shot

Published

on

It’s been exactly a month since the Galaxy S24 flagship series was released, and it is the talk of the town topic yet. The brand has offered tons of features, of which here we are discussing one of the most convenient, named ProVisula Engine.

Basically, ProVisual Engine just enhances the users’ photo-capturing experience, especially in scenarios where there are so many obstacles between the user and the perfect shot. But now, Galaxy S24 users don’t have to face this issue.

This ProVisual Engine on the Galaxy S24 uses upgraded hardware and new AI capabilities to bridge the gap and get efficient and incredible zoom shots every single time. It is a powerful package of AI image capture and editing tools that will enhance every step of the creative journey, from setting up a shot to taking and editing it. It also includes Nightography, AI Zoom, Instant Slow-mo, Edit Suggestion, Generative Edits, and Supper High Dynamic Range (HDR).

However, the brand initially added AI models, neural processing units (NPUs), and large-scale datasets to the Galaxy S10 series. But as compared to those initial capabilities, the ProVisual Engine of the Galaxy S24 has 112 AI models—28 times more than the Galaxy S10—and 13 times the NPU performance for intelligent Galaxy Photography.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra has a versatile Quad Tele system, which will offer an optical-quality zoom at any magnification up to 10x without needing to worry about which lens or mode to select. Basically, this Quad Tele system was introduced to fulfill the improved flexibility between the 3x and 10x zoom range demands of the users. This will enable optical-quality images at 2x, 3x, 5x, and 10x.

The Korean giants utilize different techniques and technologies to resort to this for each magnification level. Pixel binning, specifically tetra binning, works by combining four smaller pixels into one larger pixel. This mechanism permits the ProVisual Engine to convert a huge 200 MP image into a refined 50 MP image. Actually, intelligently, it crops out a 12 MP section, which leads to a detailed 2x zoom photo derived from a high-resolution 1x image. Similarly, for a 10x magnification optical quality, a 50MP image at 5x zoom is decreased to 12MP, delivering a 10x zoom shot with smooth, sharp, and clear details.

At 3x and 5x, the Galaxy S24 Ultra uses dedicated optical lenses. At 5x, with 50MP, more sharp and detailed results are possible. It can also take clearer and less noisy shots in the dark, and the credit goes to 60% larger pixels. The improved ISP also plays an essential role; it analyzes segments of an image to understand what’s going on in the scene so it can apply sophisticated editing and fine-tune specific aspects of the image, for instance, sharpness, skin tone, and noise reduction. In short, the improved and upgraded AI ISP enhances the sharpness and clarity of digital zoom at levels in between 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, and the rest of the range.

Galaxy S25 Ultra Rumors Hint at No Battery or Charging Upgrades

Published

Samsung has kept the same battery capacity for the flagship devices while also sticking to the same fast charging speed. If we look at the Galaxy S Ultra devices from the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the company has stuck with 45 W charging and the same 5000 mAh battery. According to the latest report, the Galaxy S25 Ultra may also use the same battery and specifications.

Previous, it was rumored that the Galaxy S24 Ultra could be equipped with stacked battery technology, which could lead to maximizing the component cost, but now, according to an X user named Sawyer Galox, it is reported that the Korean giant will skip this hardware change on the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra to save on component cost.

Along with this, the tipster also expressed his disappointment with Samsung’s take on the unchained hardware. He adds that users who want to buy the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra should keep their expectations low with the battery performance, as Samsung will keep the specs the same with the 500mAh battery and the 45W.

However, the company will also introduce its latest device with new chipsets that may provide improved optimization, which may provide some long-lasting battery life, but it will not provide any improvement in charging.

Samsung plans to implement its dual chipset strategy for Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6

Samsung is preparing to introduce its next-generation foldable device, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, given that the new smartphones in the Z lineup typically launch between July and August, some rumors suggest that the company might host the next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, 2024. Despite the date being more than three months away, numerous details have surfaced online.

According to recent reports, Samsung plans to implement its dual chipset strategy for the foldable, mirroring the Galaxy S series lineup, where some models of the Galaxy S base and Galaxy S+ devices feature Snapdragon, while in other markets, they feature Exynos.

The next foldable lineup rumoured to come with multiple chipsets; for example, the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s last Geekbench listing showed that it has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. However, this processor is already one year old, so there are fewer expectations that it could be available in the main models. However, if a rumor proves to be accurate, it could potentially be available for the FE variant of the devices.

For your information, the rumors have revealed that Samsung could introduce two new versions of the foldable devices with the brand names ‘FE’ and ‘Ultra‘, so to make the difference, it may introduce them in separate chipsets. If it provides the older chipset for the FE version, then it will be successful in cost-cutting and releasing the device at a low cost.
