A Funny Mess: Samsung Praised A Video & Thought It Shot By Galaxy S24 Ultra

The Korean brand, Samsung, made non-neglectable marketing goofs. Samsung is also known as the Korean giant, and mistakes are not expected by giants. At the moment, it can’t be said how much the mistake will impact.

Actually, from the concert of Rihanna, a video shared on “X” by @joh_masse and Samsung appears to be praising its own Galaxy S24 Ultra. Samsung Brazil responded to the video by posting in Portuguese, “I just came to show the power of my Galaxy S24 Ultra.”

And there was one problem with Samsung’s narrative. The device that recorded the Rihanna concert was not a Galaxy S24 Ultra. Not only this, but that was not even recorded with a Samsung phone at all.

Here’s the question: if Samsung wasn’t, then which smartphone recorded the video?

So, the one-word answer is: iPhone 13 Pro Max. Apple debuted the iPhone 13 Pro Max back in 2021, and Rihanna’s concert video was recorded by this only, and to prove it, the person who recorded the video posted the metadata. The video includes a 10x digital zoom-in and a 2.5x optical zoom-out. The iPhone 13 Pro Max is a bit smaller than the recently upgraded iPhone 15 Pro Max, and it lacks the Tetraprism periscope zoom lens, which delivers 5x optical zoom.

It’s hard to believe without any proof that the video was not recorded by Samsung after the brand praised its own Galaxy S24 Ultra until the metadata was posted. After the metadata was posted, not everyone believed that a two-year-old iPhone 13 Pro Max was responsible for the footage.

Another post on X shared by @thetech_wiz reflects metadata and states that “A video shot on the iPhone 13 Pro Max has sparked debate among phone (Samsung and iPhone) enthusiasts, with some claiming it must have been filmed on a Samsung S24 Ultra due to its zoom quality.“

However, this goof does not increase the demands of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, nor does it decrease the demands of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Somehow it doesn’t appear as a major incident; it’s just a funny mess.
