Samsung recently debuted its sixth-generation foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Now the report indirectly suggests the next-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, could be powered by the Exynos 2500.

Samsung’s in-house chipset, the Exynos 2500, is a hot topic among the fan community. It was expected to power the upcoming flagship Galaxy S25 series, but it seems it will not be the case. Recently, a report exclusively suggested that Samsung will power the entire Galaxy S25 series with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

Samsung Foundry is gradually working on its 3nm process, and currently, it’s still being prepared for the Galaxy S25 series. Reportedly, the brand will power the next year’s foldable phones with the Exynos 2500. This means that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 could be based on the Exynos 2500.

However, if this report comes true, then Samsung will change its ritual strategy. It ritually launches its latest flagship S-series with a new high-end chipset and then powers the next coming foldable series with the same chipset. Now the report hinted that the entire Galaxy S25 series is to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and the next coming seventh-generation foldable phone is to be powered by Exynos 2500.

The chip is officially confirmed to utilize the cutting-edge 3nm process technology. The company is facing challenges in its mobile division. Now, to keep Exynos competitive, it is looking forward to improving the yield of this process.
