
Samsung rolled out the October 2024 security update to the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S9 series in some major countries; it’s now expanding the security update to these devices in Canada.
The October 2024 security update for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S9 series is now available for download, which significantly brings a lot of improvements in security and stability.
To begin with the Samsung’s S series in particular, the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra have the S901WVLS6EXJ3, S906WVLS6EXJ3, and S908WVLS6EXJ3 firmware versions and measure 429.32 MB.

On the flip side, the Galaxy Tab S9 series is also getting the same update, where the Wi-Fi variants of Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra carry the X710XXS4BXJ7, X810XXS4BXJ7, and X910XXS4BXJ7 version numbers, while it holds the update size of 336.25 MB.

Meanwhile, the October 2024 security update is just a minor security and bug-fixing patch that significantly brings several key improvements to the device security, solves certain issues, and fixes all the security-related vulnerabilities in order to offer a more safe and secure environment to the users while also protecting the device from external threats.
Additionally, the update further adds various essential enhancements to the device functionality, brings optimizations to the overall performance, adds stability to the system behavior, applies the latest security patches, and delivers much improved features that will eventually lead to a more smooth, stable, and optimized software experience.
