One UI 5.1 rolls out for Galaxy S22, Fold 4, and Flip 4 in Canada

Samsung is very actively distributing the One UI 5.1 update, and this time the company is very aggressive. This is also seen through the last update timeline; from the second week of February, the company has updated several devices, including Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20, and many more, but most of the devices have received it in the only one regions. And now, the company is expanding the update to other regions.

As of now, Samsung is expanding the One UI 5.1 update in Canada for three devices, including Galaxy S22, S22+, S22 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Flip 4, while the same device has already gotten the update in several regions. 

Furthermore, Canadian telecommunication provider Fido had previously confirmed the release date of the One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4, and Galaxy S22 series devices about a week ago. And true to their word, the update has now arrived on time, much to the delight of Samsung device users in Canada. 

Samsung One UI 5.1 released: Why you should or not install this update

Users who own these devices can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers; F936WVLU1CWAC for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4’s update comes with version number F721WVLU1CWAC. While the S22 series devices users will get the same update with different version numbers S901WVLU2CWAI, S906WVLU2CWAI, and S908WVLU2CWAI for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra respectively.

The One UI 5.1 is the latest upgrade of the One UI; it brings several features in the existing stock apps, such as Camera- now you can change the hue for the selfie easily by the effect button; now it has also gotten the new Expert RAW in the additional menu, Gallery- some new features are introduced like shared family album now you can easily share the album across Galaxy devices. Users who own Galaxy S22 devices or Galaxy Z Fold 4/Flip 4 devices should get a notification regarding the One UI 5.1, but in case there is any problem with the notification problem you can also check it manually by following the below steps

  1. First, go to the system settings
  2. Then click on software update
  3. Now wait till it searches 
  4. If it shows the One UI 5.1 update available 
  5. Hit the download button, and it will automatically get installed.

Note:

  1. It is recommended to use wifi for installing the update because it is relatively come with a heavy software package.
  2. Before installing the update, make sure your device has a minimum 30 % battery charge.

Verizon locked Galaxy A23 gets May 2024 security update in the US

Samsung has a large presence in the US, and the company is always taking care to send new software updates rapidly to all eligible devices; however, due to carrier restrictions, the company has to depend on carriers to send the updates to all the devices. For now, the Galaxy A23 5G is getting a new update.

Samsung rolls out May 2024 Update for the Galaxy A23 on Verizon 

The locked variant of the Galaxy A23 5G will receive a May 2024 security patch from Verizon. According to the information, the update is coming with the firmware version A236VSQS4CXE3. The latest update won’t bring any significant changes to the device, but some new features may require you to implement new security enhancements.

According to the official documentation, the latest update of the Galaxy A23 brings more than 50 fixes, whereas Googlehas added 31 patches that dedicatedly bring new enhancements for the Android OS. Along with this, Samsung has also added 25 more patches that will provide some new enhancements for strengthening the devices.

With the latest update, the company will not bring any significant feature enhancements or improvements, but it will increase the strength of the devices. Along with this, the device has grabbed support for a new 4G TDD band that will enhance the 4G network’s strength.

Samsung has rolled out the May 2024 security patch to two more midrange Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy A25 5G and Galaxy A32 5G devices. The company has initiated the release of these devices from South Korea and expects that they will soon be available in more countries.
