Samsung August 2023 Security update reached to these Galaxy devices
On August 4, Samsung rolled out the August 2023 security update to the Galaxy devices. Initially, the company served the update to the LTE version of the Galaxy S20 FE, then gradually expanded the update to more devices in different regions.
What’s new in the Samsung August 2023 Security update?
The August 2023 update brings a new security patch for the Galaxy devices; the update mainly aims to improve the security of the devices by resolving the vulnerability fixes. Sometimes the update also brings some major improvements that enhance the performance and stability of the device, but generally the update is limited to internal functions and does not affect the experience of normal users.
It fixes 2 security issues classified as “critical,” 50 “high” vulnerabilities, and 1 “moderate” grade CVE, plus adds 5 security fixes also included in previous monthly patches. The August 2023 security patch also fixes 19 security flaws of type SVE (Samsung Vulnerability Items).
