Samsung One UI 6.0 Beta Update-Based on Android 14 [Updated]

Published

on

Samsung was one of the fastest companies to update its phones to Android 13 last year, and we expect them to be just as fast with Android 14 and One UI 6.0. Google released the stable version of Android 14 a little later this year (early October instead of mid-August), but Samsung started releasing beta versions before that (which were not available in our country, again).

Samsung began the One UI 6 beta program in early August. But initially, it seemed like they were moving slowly compared to last year’s One UI development. However, within a week, they sped things up and expanded the One UI 6 program to include more Galaxy devices. Right now, it’s only available in seven countries. If you want to try the beta version of One UI 6.0 on your phone, you’ll need to sign in with your Samsung account and register your device using the Samsung Members app.

Samsung has rolled out the One UI 6.1 update for all the Galaxy devices launched back in 2021 and 2022; however, the company hasn’t distributed the update for all the units available in different regions around the world. Now with the latest development, the Korean giant has rolled out the batch of the latest major update for flagship devices, including the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 3.

One UI 6.1 update brings several new features

The One UI 6.1 has brought a lot of new features that will allow users to take advantage of different features. For the last year, flagship devices including the Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices have received revolutionary Galaxy AI features that bring the utility of text summarization, translation, live call translation, and many more. Meanwhile, the models released back in 2021 have only received one Galaxy AI feature, Circle to Search, which allows users to instantly search images.

Here’s are build numbers of One UI 6.1 update

  • Galaxy S22: S908WVLU4EXE1
  • Fold 4: F936WVLU4FXE3
    Flip 4: F721WVLU4FXE3
  • Fold 3: F926WVLU5IXDB
    Flip 3: F711WVLU6IXDB

Along with this, many other features will level up the experience for customization, enhance security and privacy, and bring more engaging features for sharing content. It is worth noticing that all the devices are still not getting the latest May 2024 security patch. So if you want to take advantage of all the new features, then you should keep your device up-to-date.

As of writing, the update is live in Canada for all the above-mentioned smartphones. If you are using any of the devices, you can now easily update them by going manually to the software update menu by system settings.
