Telegram March 2024 Update: 9 New Features and Improved Group Experience

Published

on

Telegram is frequently featured in the news, and it is due to its activities towards bringing new features for the users. In the recent coverage, we have reported about the monetization program, which will be available for channel owners starting this month. Now it has brought a new update with some new features.

Telegram’s latest update brings 9 new features

Telegram has received a new update, which will provide some new features to bring more functionality related to wallpapers, statuses, and personalization. Let’s explore all the new functionalities.

Stories from groups

With the latest update, group owners can now post stories; the replays from moments will be sent to the groups, which brings new ways to start conversations.

Boosts for Groups

Telegram has also applied the boost concept for groups as well, which was available for the channels. Now, just as with channels, groups can now gain levels according to the collection from members or giveaways; higher levels of groups will access some premium feats like voice-to-text and custom emoji.

Emoji status, covers, wallpapers, and link styles

With the boost feature support, groups get some unique customization options, such as changing the color and logo of their group’s profile cover, setting an emoji status, and choosing a wallpaper that will be visible to all who open the group.

Group Emoji packs

In the higher level of groups, Telegram will give some sets of emojis; these emoji sets will be available for use as per the preference of the administrator; in other words, the administrator will have the right to set any emoji pack that will be used by all members.

Voice-to-text

If you are in the higher-level group, then you will have unlimited access to use the voice-to-text transcription for both video and voice messages in the group.

Special permission for the booster

Members who boost the group will get some special permission from the admin, like ignoring slow mode or other restrictions. Along with this, the messages from the boost will have some special badges, which will evolve with every boost sent.

To get the latest feature on your Android smartphone, you have to update the Telegram application to the latest version; however, there is no confirmation about which update will give you all these new features. You can easily update the application from the Google Play Store.

Google Play Store Update Enables Simultaneous App Downloads

Published

By

Over the years, Google has made several improvements to its most crucial application, the Google Play Store, and it constantly provides new utility features and improvements. Now, with the latest development, the company is working on a new capability to handle multiple application downloads.

According to the information, Google is looking to bring a new capability to download multiple applications together. Previously, when you tap on the install button of the applications, it starts downloading them one by one. When one application fully downloads, it starts downloading the second application.

However, it is worth noticing that the phenomenon of multiple downloading is limited to only two applications, meaning if you tap on more than three applications to download, it will start downloading two applications while the third one is still pending.

Additionally, the simultaneous download is limited to the new installs, but it will not apply to the update section. We hope that Google may expand the multiple downloads to update phenomenon and may increase the number of downloads together in the next developments.

As per the information, the new change has already started working on several devices, at least for the Android 14 installed devices with the latest version of the Play Store (40.6.31).
