Samsung was a bit late in releasing this month’s security patch, but now, to cover up the schedule, it is actively rolling out its June 2024 security patch for Galaxy devices. Two more devices, the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Note 20, are joining the June patch list. 

Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Note 20 locked variants on the Verizon carrier network receive the June 2024 security patch. You can easily find the update since it has arrived with the specific firmware version mentioned below – 

  • Galaxy S21 – G99*USQSBGXF1
  • Galaxy Note 20 – N98*USQ 7HXF1

The update has arrived with dozens of bug fixes. This latest security patch will fix all the known bugs and issues that were spotted in the last version. With this update, the brand adds an extra layer of security by fixing all the security vulnerabilities to enhance users’ secure experience. 

This June 2024 security patch boosts the system stability & reliability, and overall functionality to deliver a seamless and flawless user experience. If you own a Samsung Galaxy S21 or Galaxy Note 20, a Verizon carrier-locked variant, you can easily download the update just by following the steps mentioned here – 

  • Go to settings >> Software update >> If the update is available, tap Download and install.

Now the device is getting critical updates in the form of One UI 6.1 that will provide many new features.

Samsung has rolled out the One UI 6.1 update for the carrier’s locked units of the Galaxy A25 devices in the US. More specifically, as of writing, the latest update for the Galaxy A25 has been spotted on the Comcast network. The update is coming with the firmware version number A256USQU3BXE5. It is worth noticing that the device is still using last month’s security patch as a May 2024 security update.

Samsung is constantly expanding the June 2024 security patch to more units of devices. Earlier, the company had already rolled out the update for the Galaxy S24 series devices in several regions, including Europe and the US, but as the device is now available in several parts of the world, the company is gradually distributing the update to more devices.

Galaxy S24 devices are getting a new update in Canada and Australia

Samsung has rolled out the June 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy S24 device in Canada and Australia. For the Canadian units, users can identify the latest update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra devices with the firmware version numbers S921WVLS2AXE4, S926WVLS2AXE4, and S928WVLS2AXE4, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Australian units of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers S921BXXS2AXED, S926BXXS2AXED, and S928BXXS2AXED, respectively.

The June 2024 security patch update for the devices doesn’t bring any proper changes, but it will improve the internal functions to make the device more secure. According to the official bulletin, the latest security patch update will provide nearly 60 patches. Going into the details, there are 37 patches added by Google, and along with this, there are 22 more patches added by Samsung to the devices.

Moreover, the update may also bring some enhancements to the performance and stability of the device, so if you’re having any issues while using any functionality on your device, you should update your device to the latest version to get rid of those issues.
