Samsung’s approach to expanding security updates for its Galaxy devices lacks a standardized pattern. The most recent security update initially targeted the Galaxy S23 Series in the US and later extended to other Galaxy devices. As customary, the security update comprises a combination of fixes provided by Google and Samsung. This month, it includes a total of 90 fixes, with 52 released directly by Google (referred to as “Big G”) and 38 by Samsung. Out of these fixes, three address critical-level vulnerabilities, while 56 pertain to high-level vulnerabilities. Additionally, there is one fix classified as moderate-level, while one does not apply to Samsung devices.

Samsung Galaxy S24 receives May 2024 security patch in Australia
Samsung has introduced the May 2024 security patch to the Galaxy device, initiating with the Galaxy S24 devices; however, the update hasn’t fully reached all the units available worldwide, but the company is expanding it rapidly to the remaining ones. Now, with the latest development, the company has started rolling out the update in the Australian region.
The Australian units of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers S921BXXS2AXD5, S926BXXS2AXD5, and S928BXXS2AXD5 sequentially.
The latest update for the Galaxy S24 series has only brought some security-related enhancements; you may not notice any visual effect on your device. However, if you have been facing any issues since updating the March software update, you should check out the latest update as it may provide fixes.
According to the official documentation, the May 2024 security patch will address more than 50 different system variabilities. More specifically, Google has introduced 31 fixes that will improve the functioning of the Android ecosystem; meanwhile, Samsung has also added 25 fixes for Galaxy devices exclusively.
Galaxy S24 users can now easily update the device to the May 2024 update by going to the software update menu manually in system settings. As the company has recently initiated the update in Australia, it is possible to take time to reach every unit, so keep patience.

Samsung has a large number of Galaxy devices that are eligible to get the One UI 6.1 update, and to fulfill the update requirement, the company is constantly adding new devices to the list day by day. Today, a new Galaxy A series member, the Galaxy A73, has grabbed the update.

Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ get One UI 6.1 update in the US
Recently, Samsung has started releasing the One UI 6.1 to Galaxy Tab S9 FE series devices. Initially, the update for these devices was spotted in South Korea and some parts of Europe, but now, with the gradual expansion, the company is now serving the update for the devices belonging to the US.
