Samsung One UI 7.0 Features – Here’s a Detailed Look

Samsung has indeed worked hard in refining the latest Android 15-based One UI 7.0 version for its entire Galaxy family. A lot had happened so far; beyond that, the new update brought about a lot of significant features and changes. Meanwhile, here’s every feature that has arrived with the latest version so that you don’t miss a single headline!

Although the One UI 7 progress report for the Galaxy S24 series was not so smooth, it all started with the first beta build in early December last year and continued till the 6th beta update at the end of March 2025.

At the same time, Samsung has also revealed that the One UI 7.0 stable rollout will go on in certain batches, with the first batch including the global market, excluding the US, and more eligible countries that will receive the stable update in a while. Several rounds of beta phases not only brought various interesting features but also fixed plenty of bugs that were eventually creating issues in the overall functionality of the device.

Samsung One UI 7.0 Stable Update

Samsung’s Android-based interface for its devices, One UI 7, continues to struggle. After a prolonged wait (sparking significant frustration among Samsung users), the stable version of One UI 7 finally began rolling out in early April, following a series of beta releases. The first devices to receive the update were the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Flip6, and Galaxy Z Fold6 series. However, users barely had time to explore the new features and exclusive functions before Samsung abruptly suspended the One UI 7 update.

While Samsung has yet to officially address the situation, reports suggest a critical bug led to the global rollout being halted. South Korean users have complained that One UI 7 made it difficult to unlock devices after installation. This prompted Samsung to pull the update and pause its distribution. As of now, the update is no longer available in Europe, the US, or South Korea.

Though Samsung has not publicly acknowledged the problem or confirmed the suspension, it’s likely that users who already installed One UI 7 will soon receive a follow-up update to fix the bugs found in the initial release.

One UI 7.0 Features are as follows:

Audio Eraser

First things first, Audio Eraser was exclusively reserved for the current Galaxy S25 series devices initially, but now, the feature has made its way to the S24 models via the beta channel, of course.

Basically, Samsung introduced a new Audio Eraser feature that is an AI-powered tool that has the capability to remove six kinds of sounds, including voice, music, wind, noise, nature, and crowd. This feature is suitable when you need to edit your videos in a professional manner and don’t want any awkward sound in the middle. Now Bar’s smart companion—Now Brief

Samsung integrated AI personalizations and user privacy along with more enhanced on-device processing with the newly added Now Brief feature, which was introduced initially with the S25 series, and now it seems like the company may expand this feature to more older Galaxy devices, including the S24 series models. But it is currently available in Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra models.

The latest Now Brief feature significantly guides users all throughout their day by offering suggestions or useful insights via the Now Bar on the phone’s lock screen and AOD. These insights include getting a morning brief, scheduled reminders, personalized driving routines, checking coupon expirations, and wrapping up your day with some useful suggestions.

Not only this, the insights are perfectly secured by Samsung’s renowned Knox Vault that helps in boosting high user privacy to create a more powerful and secure Galaxy AI experience out of the box.

Samsung Log

Another S25 exclusive feature is Samsung Log, which was initially expanded only to the Galaxy S24 Ultra units but was then extended to both the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ units.

Specifically, the Log Video feature basically adds an option that allows users to record videos in the log format to the camera preview. This significantly intends to capture a wider dynamic range for more flexibility while editing. However, the videos captured in the Log format look extremely flat and gray until their color is corrected in the Gallery. (To know about its working, tap on the link to know more.).

Much interactive Control Center (Notifications and the Quick Panel)

One UI 7 has indeed brought up the most-awaited capability that the Galaxy fans have been waiting for for a long time. Samsung Galaxy devices running the latest One UI 7 version will now be able to split their control center into two; swiping down from the left side brings up the Notifications, while swiping down from the right side opens up the Quick Panel. Although this separation increases the usability and convenience, at the same time, users can easily merge them at any time according to their preferences.

Media player widget integration to notifications and on the status bar

Samsung initially integrated the media player within the Now Bar via the One UI 7 Beta channel for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 series also received the capability where the media playback widget can be directly accessible via the device’s notification center, while also adding the support of music live activity within the Now Bar on the status bar and even on the AOD.

Much improved productivity features

One UI 7 has added a few interesting tools that not only help in boosting productivity but also offer seamless communication to help users stay connected. These include improved Circle to Search, Call Transcript, Writing Assist, and Drawing Assist. Apart from this, the update further adds the ability to launch the digital assistant by pressing and holding the side button, which will aim to increase creativity, productivity, and functionality for more efficient behavior.

AI-Powered Multitasking

Since Samsung has successfully replaced its proprietary AI assistant Bixby with Google Gemini, users can now perform several tasks seamlessly and all at once. Samsung has upgraded its digital assistant, which is termed the Gemini AI, which is supposed to offer much quicker and more efficient actions, including quickly summarizing web pages, offering recommendations, planning for a trip, helping with students’ homework, and much more. Else, One UI 7 has already integrated Gemini Live on the Galaxy S25 series, while it’s expected that more older devices like the S24 models will gradually be receiving the support for Gemini-based Galaxy AI features in the future.

Upgraded security and enhanced privacy management

One UI 7 not only aims at adding various interesting features, it also upgrades the user’s security by integrating a Personal Data Engine, which adds certain advancements within the security measures that will eventually help protect users’ personal data at every step with more transparency, while also integrating certain security settings. This will further help avoid various key potential threats while on-device data processing.

In addition, Samsung even adds an additional layer of security via a few features, including maximum restrictions, improved theft protection, and more, in order to upgrade user control and to enhance data privacy.

Customizations with a more refined Good Lock suite

Indeed, Samsung’s new and more refined Good Lock suite takes the user’s customization capabilities to the next level. From the Home Up and Theme Park to LockStar and One Hand Operation+, users now have a wide range of customization options to choose from and can seamlessly personalize their Galaxy phone as they like in just a few taps. Not to forget that Samsung has recently shared a few of the most popular Good Lock apps that hit massive downloads as of March 2025, and these apps include Sound Assistant, Theme Park, and One Hand Operation+.

It’s important to note that there is no guarantee that Samsung will expand all these above-listed features to older Galaxy devices, and thus, these may vary by device.
